FEELM adopts an energy management system to build a green factory and reduce carbon emissions by 500 tons
SHENZHEN, China–( BUSINESS WIRE )–FEELM has adopted an energy management system to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and energy consumption.
The system collects real-time data on electricity usage during production, allowing mills to make adjustments to improve efficiency. This system supports real-time electricity usage monitoring, calculation and processing, generation is a benchmark for calculating carbon emissions. It is presented on a data platform to measure these emissions and detect anomalies.
This approach significantly reduced electricity usage in non-production areas of the fully automated FEELM plant. During the first five months of 2022, this reduction amounts to 720,000 kWh or 188.4 tons of carbon emissions. Efficiency has also been improved in the manufacturing sector, increasing from RMB 177 in 2020 to RMB 245 in 2022.

To this end, FEELM launched the industry’s first automated production line in 2019. The following year, the company began adopting a fully automated production line. Its energy management system allows it to generate graphs after uploading to the cloud, and the plant has optimized lighting, ventilation, heating and heat pump operations. With this approach, managers can optimize processes to avoid waste.
After that, carbon emissions are significantly reduced in the production range, thus reducing the carbon footprint before the product is released. These changes in the first half of the year, approximately 1,249,500 kWh of electricity was saved, which means a reduction of 326.9 tons of carbon emissions.
