But EA already knew that Argentina would win in early November. At each World Cup, the developer simulates the tournament in their game and produces surprisingly relevant results.

For the fourth time in a row, EA has successfully predicted the winner of the World Cup. The simulation, of course, eliminated Argentina after their 1-0 loss against Brazil, but the winner prediction is still correct. Predictions about the best player and the best goalkeeper of the World Cup have also arrived. Lionel Messi and Emiliano Martinez. Granted, it’s Kylian Mbappe who won the Golden Boot and not Messi as expected, but FIFA 23’s prediction is still an impressive performance.

What’s going on ? The World Cup mode for the FIFA World Cup is available in FIFA 23 – the same as in the previous installments of the FIFA series. The Vancouver developer is using this huge event to test his simulation from every angle. EA Sports has proven its closeness to reality in the last three World Cups: the 2018, 2014 and 2010 World Cup predictions have all come true. FIFA World Cup 23 Prediction: EA is using its game to preview all 64 World Cup matches. Thanks to the test in FIFA 23, the developer makes the World Cup prediction again: Argentina will be the world champion in 2022.
