4 ways Twitter is different on the Android App

Are you using the “bird app” or the “bird site”? It’s nice that Twitter can be used on the web and as a mobile app, but if you only use one or the other, you may not realize that both have their strengths and weaknesses. you use the platform.

If you want to tweet on the mobile app, before composing your tweet, tap the + icon, which opens another menu where you can select the media you want to base it on.

Linking from a tweet in your feed to a Twitter page is also different. Click on a tweeter’s name in the web view and go directly to their profile from your feed. In the app, you have to go through a tweet by selecting it and then selecting their name in that tweet.

The app’s extensive journeys may seem more tedious than they actually are, but they also bring a degree of satisfaction. It’s like an online version of a crosswalk, even without traffic.

2. Locations work differently

If you’re a fan of Twitter Spaces, the mobile app is worth a try. You can listen to Spaces on the web version, but you can’t speak or hold your own. You should also be able to spot gaps in your feed, making them easy to miss.

3. Some actions only work in the program

We’ve already mentioned that you can only greet and chat in Twitter Spaces from the app. That’s not all you need to do with the app.

If you have Twitter Blue, you can use a verified NFT profile picture on Twitter. To do this, the menu item appears on the way to change your profile picture, but the menu item does not appear when you change your profile picture in the web version. So you not only need Twitter Blue and NFT, but also the app.

4. Notifications are hit differently

Notifications aren’t technically on the list of things that only work in an app. If you’re only using the web view, you can give a lot of power by going to Twitter notifications Settings > Notifications > Preferences. From here you can enable push notifications as well as email notifications.

However, since most of us carry our phones everywhere we go, app notifications can be more effective at grabbing our attention, especially when we’re away from a desktop computer. Depending on how you want to stay close to social media, this can be a positive or negative for the app.

This is one area where not being biased can really help you make the service your own. If Twitter is part of your schedule, you can enable Twitter notifications for the web version on your computer and disable them for the mobile apps. So you can use Spaces everywhere you go without the little bird in your ear.

Why not use both?

If you are passionate about Spaces or NFTs, the app is the only way to get there. The basic mechanics work very easily in the web view, and it’s nice to get rid of notifications. Both options for using Twitter have their advantages, but remember that you don’t have to choose one or the other.
